The Greatest Hits

This website aims to serve as a consolidation of the things that I have accomplished over my young adulthood. Should the entirety of this site be too overwhelming, this page consolidates things even further. The Greatest Hits: a portfolio of projects that I am particularly proud of. Click on any of them below to learn more.

  • The Canine Beyond, a musical tribute to our late family dog, Riley. Randy McStine guests on guitar.

  • The Playlist, a chapter that I wrote for my 33 1/3 book submission. The book, which focuses on Porcupine Tree’s Deadwing LP, has this succinct list of songs and films that I feel are natural companions. This section got immediate praise from my mentor, Evelyn McDonnell.

  • An article from my position at The Needle Drop, warning of the high risk young people face for hearing loss.

  • An in-depth piece on the L.A. jazz club The Baked Potato. I’m very proud of it and saddened that this article did not get more of an audience. Features elements from an interview with the club’s owner. (I’m up there @ the BP with Tool’s Danny Carey, 10/2021)

  • A Case for the Boxset Mentality, an essay I wrote in praise of the Daft Punk composition “Giorgio by Moroder.” This piece also condemns the current landscape of AI-generated content and the desire for instant gratification.
